New Condos in Willoughby, Langley: Buy Before the BRT and SkyTrain Change Everything
Buy Before the BRT and SkyTrain Change Everything.
Langley’s transit future is taking shape. Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is coming to 200th Street in Langley Township and if you’re considering a new condo in one of the region’s fastest-growing communities, the timing could not be better.
TransLink has confirmed the Langley-Haney Place Bus Rapid Transit corridor as one of its first three priority projects in Metro Vancouver. The route runs directly along 200th Street, connecting Langley Township to Maple Ridge via the Golden Ears Bridge. One of its 13 planned stations sits at 76th Avenue and 200th Street, steps from Eden, Zenterra’s newest community in Willoughby, Langley at 7696 198B Street.
This is the kind of infrastructure investment that reshapes a neighbourhood. Here is what it means for residents, commuters, and buyers.

What is Bus Rapid Transit?
BRT is not your regular city bus. It operates in dedicated centre-running lanes, separated entirely from general vehicle traffic. Buses receive priority signals at intersections, so they are not sitting through red lights like every other vehicle on the road. Stations are weather-protected and purpose-built, closer in feel to a SkyTrain stop than a bus shelter.
The result is a transit option that is fast, frequent, and reliable regardless of what traffic is doing. TransLink projects the Langley-Haney Place BRT will cut end-to-end travel times by more than 40% compared to existing bus service on the corridor, bringing the full run from Langley to Maple Ridge down to approximately 40 minutes. During peak hours, buses run every 10 minutes.

How Close are the Eden Condos to the Nearest Bus Stop?
The Eden presale condos at 7696 198B Street in Willoughby are metres from the planned BRT station at 76th Avenue and 200th Street, making it the closest station on the Langley-Haney Place BRT line.
For residents of Eden, this means stepping out of your building and boarding a rapid transit bus without the unpredictability of traffic. Whether you’re heading to Carvolth Exchange, the Langley Events Centre hub at 80th Avenue, or connecting onward to Maple Ridge, the BRT corridor puts it all on one straight line from your door

Can I take the BRT to the SkyTrain from Eden?
Yes! The southern terminus of the Langley-Haney Place BRT is Willowbrook Station, and it is the same location where the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain extension will stop. That SkyTrain station is currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2029, meaning both the BRT and SkyTrain will converge at one purpose-built transit hub in Langley.
From Eden’s doorstep at the 76th Avenue BRT station, Willowbrook is three stops south: 72nd Avenue, 64th Avenue, then Willowbrook. In dedicated BRT lanes, that ride takes roughly five to seven minutes, putting Eden residents at the SkyTrain station within minutes.
Once at Willowbrook, the SkyTrain Expo Line extension carries riders west toward Surrey City Centre, Metrotown, and downtown Vancouver. TransLink projects a one-seat SkyTrain ride from Willowbrook to King George Station in Surrey City Centre to take approximately 22 minutes. Downtown Vancouver via the Expo Line is a longer but direct ride with no transfers and no driving to a Park and Ride.
For buyers who work in Vancouver or Surrey but prefer Langley’s relative affordability and community feel, that transit chain, BRT to SkyTrain, is the connection that changes the calculation.
Why Transit Access Can Lift Property Values
Transit access and property values move together. This is a well-documented pattern across Canadian cities, and Metro Vancouver is no exception. Properties within walking distance of rapid transit stations consistently command premiums, and those premiums tend to grow as construction advances and opening dates approach.
Langley Township is currently one of the only major municipalities in Metro Vancouver without a rapid transit connection. That gap is closing quickly. The Surrey-Langley SkyTrain extension is actively under construction along Fraser Highway, with Willowbrook Station scheduled to open in 2029. The BRT is designed to feed into that station, extending the rapid transit network further north along 200 Street.
When the BRT is operational, Eden will sit at the intersection of two transit systems: a BRT corridor running the length of Langley’s main north-south spine, and a SkyTrain extension connecting the region to the broader network. Buyers purchasing into Eden today are acquiring before that infrastructure is built and before the market has fully priced in what it means to live steps from a rapid transit station.
A Neighbourhood Being Thoughtfully Built for the Future
The BRT is not happening in isolation. The Township of Langley’s 200th Street 2040 Corridor Plan designates transit-oriented village hubs at 72nd Avenue, 80th Avenue, and 86th Avenue, all BRT station locations. The plan envisions walkable, mixed-use communities at each of these nodes, with shops, services, offices, and housing built around rapid transit access rather than around car dependency.
The anticipated station area at 80th Avenue, just one BRT stop north of Eden, is being planned as “The Hub,” anchored by the Langley Events Centre and envisioned as the corridor’s social and recreational centre. The Township has already begun the process of allowing reduced parking minimums near BRT stations to encourage transit-oriented development that prioritises people over parking.
What is taking shape along 200th Street is a thoughtfully planned, transit-first corridor. Zoning, land use, and infrastructure are all being aligned around the same vision. Eden buyers are purchasing into that vision early.
When will the Langley BRT Open?
The Langley-Haney Place BRT has completed three phases of public engagement. Station locations are confirmed. The preferred road configuration, with centre-running dedicated bus lanes along most of 200th Street, has been advanced for corridor design. A business case is being developed for the next TransLink Investment Plan.
Full construction funding has not yet been secured. TransLink is working with provincial and federal governments to lock in commitments. Once fully funded, TransLink has stated the project can be built and in service within three years. If funding is confirmed through the 2027 Investment Plan cycle, a 2030 opening is a reasonable projection.
The project has strong municipal support from the Township of Langley and broad public backing. According to TransLink, 89% of respondents said they believe BRT would improve transportation in their community.
